The Mediven Duomed Compression Stockings Can Be Used For:

NB: It is important to consult your physician before you use compression stockings

  • Legs that are chronically swollen, fatigued, or painful
  • Poor blood flow in the legs
  • Varicose veins
    • Primary or secondary varicosis
    • Varicose veins in pregnancy
    • Supporting sclerotherapy (treatment of Varicose Veins)
    • After varicose vein surgery
  • Chronic venous disorders: C0 to C4 according to CEAP
  • After any long bed rests or surgery to prevent Thrombosis
  • Thrombophlebitis (superficial) or condition after healed phlebitis
  • Deep venous thrombosis, condition after thrombosis, post-thrombotic syndrome

 

Conditions where you should avoid wearing compression stockings:

  • Arterial insufficiency
  • Diabetes, Peripheral Neuropathy
  • Intermittent claudication (Muscle pain on mild exertion)
  • Ischaemia
  • Uncontrolled Congestive Heart Failure

  • Cutaneous Sepsis
  • Signs of infection in the legs
  • Over open wounds

Wash and Care:

  • Suitable for machine wash.
  • Please use detergent for woolens
  • Wash stockings separately with similar colored fabrics
  • Do NOT use bleach or fabric softeners
  • Rinse thoroughly after wash, preferably several times
  • Hang to dry
  • Do NOT expose to direct heat (Such as to an iron/heater/radiator) or sunlight
  • Not to be cleaned chemically, either with spot removers or using benzene
