The Original Squatty Potty Ecco 9" Inch is designed so we can squat rather than sit when we poop. Believe or not, this is the position we should be in to eliminate properly for a healthy system. The science behind it is simple. Our colon has a natural kink in it to maintain continence. The sitting position we take up on a toilet, with our feet on the floor, partially relaxes the puborectalis muscle, which is the muscle around the colon which blocks the flow of waste. A squatting posture fully relaxes the muscle and allows us to empty quickly, without straining or sitting for hours. There are many copies out there but the Squatty Potty Ecco is THE original Squatty Potty.

Proper elimination means that toxins don't sit in our bodies, causing bloating, constipation, haemorrhoids and more serious diseases, such as colon cancer. Squatting also allows the urinary flow in woman to be stronger, thus helping prevent recurring urinary infections.

Squatting, rather than sitting, on the toilet gives enormous relief to both men and women who have pelvic floor issues. Although these problems mainly occur in women, men do suffer as well.

The Squatty Potty comes in two sizes. The size you choose depends on the size of your toilet. This 9" version should be used with a standard toilet which measures between 16.5" and 18" from the top of the toilet bowl to the floor. The 7" squatty potty should be used with a comfort height toilet which measures between 14" and 16" from the top of the toilet bowl to the floor. It stores easily under the toilet.
